Setting Up UPI on EK7
Before your first transaction, add a UPI ID to your account. Open the app and go to Wallet → Payment Methods.
Enter your UPI ID. The format depends on your app — yourname@okaxis for Axis Bank via most apps, yourname@ybl for PhonePe, yourname@paytm for Paytm, yourname@okhdfcbank for HDFC via GPay, and so on. If you’re not sure what your UPI ID is, open your UPI app — it’s displayed in the profile or payment section.

One thing that matters later: the UPI ID you add for withdrawals needs to be linked to a bank account in your own name. The account holder name has to match your EK7 account. This doesn’t affect deposits, but it will affect whether withdrawals go through.
Making a Deposit
Go to Wallet → Add Money in the app.
Enter the deposit amount — minimum is ₹50. Select your UPI ID or enter one directly. A payment request appears in your UPI app. Open it, enter your PIN, confirm. The EK7 balance updates within a few seconds.

Which UPI Apps Work
The major UPI apps that work on most Indian gaming platforms: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm UPI, BHIM, Amazon Pay UPI, and bank-native apps like iMobile Pay and YONO SBI.

Your bank’s UPI daily limit — typically ₹1 lakh per UPI ID, sometimes less depending on the bank — applies on top of EK7’s limits. For larger deposits, your bank’s ceiling is usually the binding constraint, not EK7’s.

When UPI Fails — The Part Most Sites Don’t Tell You
Bank-level blocking is more common than most players expect
Some Indian banks block UPI transactions to online gaming platforms at the bank level. The transaction gets declined before it reaches EK7. The error message is usually generic — “payment failed” or “transaction declined” — with no explanation of why.
HDFC Bank has historically been the most aggressive about this. A significant number of HDFC users find their bank’s UPI app declines gaming deposits entirely. The same deposit goes through fine on Google Pay or PhonePe using the same HDFC account — because those apps route through different channels with fewer category restrictions than HDFC’s native iMobile Pay.
If your deposit keeps failing on one UPI app, try a different one before assuming the problem is your balance or EK7. This solves the problem for most users who hit bank-level blocks.
This isn’t something EK7 controls. The restriction is set at your bank. Switching apps is the practical fix.
Typing your UPI ID wrong
UPI IDs are case-insensitive but have to be exact. yourname@okaxis and yourname@okhdfcbank are different IDs — both HDFC, different handles depending on which app generated the ID. Copy-paste your UPI ID directly from your UPI app rather than typing it from memory. One wrong character and the payment request goes nowhere.
UPI PIN locked
Three wrong PIN attempts in a row locks UPI on your device for 24 hours. That’s a bank-level lock — nothing EK7 can lift. Wait it out or reset your PIN through your bank’s app.
Money deducted but EK7 balance didn’t update
This happens occasionally when payment confirmation is delayed between the bank and the platform. Wait 15-30 minutes — most resolve on their own. If the balance still hasn’t updated after that, contact support through the live chat in the app. Have your UPI transaction reference number ready — it’s in the transaction history inside your UPI app.
